Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in the Peason Community. Burial will follow at Middle Creek Cemetery. The Rev. Glenn Flenniken, and the Rev. Bobby Shirley will officiate. Mrs. McInnis was born in the Peason Community on January 8, 1902, to the late Allen and Ella Butler. She married Lev McInnis on January 17, 1934. She was a graduate of Peason High School, and Louisiana Normal College. She taught for many years in Sabine Parish schools. She was a former social reporter for the Sabine Index, and the Natchitoches Times, a member of the Retired Teachers Association, Sabine Parish Homemakers Extension, and was the oldest member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. Survivors included her children, Marlynn and James Burt of Shreveport, Mariella and L. C. Welch of Lake Charles, and Margie and Roy Lee Brown of Peason; grandchildren, Beverly and Dale Watkins, and Rhonda and Dane Caskey of Keithville, Kathy Burt, and Kristie Brown of Shreveport, Cheryl and Jeff O'Neal of Moss Bluff, Kim and Terry McCollough of Peason, Kayla and Lewis Hopkins of Mt. Carmel, and Robyn Welch of Greenville, S. C.; great grandchildren, Steve Burt, Jessica McCollough, Randi, and Kati Morgan, and Marissa Brown of Shreveport, Jennifer and Paul Grayson, D. J., and James Caskey of Keithville, Nancy McCollough of Peason, Cody, Kyle, and Chase Hopkins of Mt. Carmel, David O'Neal of Kansas City, Mo., Philip and Nicole O'Neal of Sulphur, and Michael, and Timothy O'Neal of Moss Bluff; her nieces, Janet Mackenzie of Rome, Ga., and Jimmie Feuge of DeRidder; nephew, Cliff Lockwood of DeRidder; and a host of extended family and friends. Mrs. McInnis was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Monroe, and Elijah Butler; two grandchildren, Phillip Welch, and Karen Brown; and two great grandchildren, Angel Caskey, and Jamie Burt. Honorary pallbearers will be James Burt, L. C. Welch, Roy Lee Brown, Dale Watkins, Jeff O'Neal, Dane Caskey, Terry McCollough, Lewis, Cody, Kyle, and Chase Hopkins, and Rickey Robertson. Pallbearers are Steve Burt, David Phillip, Michael, and Timothy O'Neal, D. J., and James Caskey, and Paul Grayson.
