Mrs. W. Y. McConathy

  23 Feb 1962 - Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 12 for
Mrs. W. Y. McConathy, 72, who passed away after a short illness
Saturday, Feb. 10 in Jasper, Texas.

  Rev. B. A. Sigler officiated and Rev. Paul Carter assisted at
the services in the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Florine. Interment
was in the church cemetery under the direction of Warren Funeral
Home.

  Mrs. W. Y. McConathy is survived by five daughters, Mrs. F. D.
Leach of Shreveport, Mrs. Myrtle Smith of Huntsville, Texas, Mrs.
Leroy Garrett of Houston, Texas, Mrs. Robert Zube of Jasper,
Texas, and Mrs. Roy D. Miller of DeRidder; three sons, W. Y.
McConathy, Jr., of Alexandria, Herman L. McConathy of Florien and
Hershell L. McConathy of Monroe; three brothers, Bud Brown of
Coushatta, Gus Brown of Hodge and Clifton Brown of Florien; one
sister, Mrs. A. L. Barrett of Beaumont, Texas; 13 grandchildren
and two great-grandchildren.
