The Sabine Index - Mary Etta McConnel

  6 Sep 1957 - Mrs. Mary Etta McConnel, age 83, of Marthaville
died Monday, Aug. 26, 8:30 p.m. at Prothro clinic, Pleasant
Hill.

  The funeral services were held at Beulah Methodist church near
Marthaville, Aug. 27 with the Rev. Cecil Ruffin officiating.
Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Drewett
Funeral home.

  Survivors are one grandson, A. J. Osborn, Dallas, Texas; a
sister, Mrs. Henry Mallett, Marthaville; two brothers, John
Wells, Shreveport; Jack Wells, Marthaville, step-mother, Mrs.
Martha Jane Wells, Pleasant Hill; seven step-brothers and three
step-sisters, Oscar, Wesley, Roy, Albert and Jesse Wells,
Marthaville; Alvin Wells, Mansfield; Mrs. Irene Harper,
Shreveport; Mrs. Mae Powell, Mansfield and Mrs. Corene Howell,
Royce City, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
