McNeely 3 Jul 1959 - Funeral services for W. E. McNeely , age 59, were held Wednesday at 10 o'clock from the chapel of the Warren Funeral home with the Rev. J. W. Matthews, pastor of the First Methodist church of Many officiating. Burial was in the Fort Jesup cemetery under the direction of the Warren Funeral home. Pallbearers were Gerald Vines, Edward Vines, Benny McNeely, Joe McNeely, John V. Nash and J. M. Belisle. Masonic rites were conducted at the Graveside by the Masons of Many Lodge 411 of which Mr. McNeely was a member. Survivors are sister, Mrs. Mildred Vines of Many and two nephews, Edward Lee and Gerald Vines of Houston, Texas. Ed, as he was known to his many friends was born in Many, being the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. E. McNeely, pioneer citizens of Sabine Parish. Over the years he had worked in banks, trade school, and department of highways, government work, and for the State of Louisiana in the Department of Revenue at Baton Rouge for six years, the past year he was employed by the Pel State Oil Co. of Shreveport. He passed away at a Shreveport hospital June 30 after a brief illness.
