The Florien native had been a resident of Bossier City for eight months. He was a retired supervisor for Gulf Oil Co. Mr. McNeely was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a Baptist. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home's Bossier City Chapel. Officiating for the service was the Rev. Tom Cole, acting pastor of First Baptist Church of Bossier City. Burial was in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nelda McNeely; a daughter, Beverly McNeely, and two sons, Craig McNeely, and Tracy McNeely, all of Vinton; four sisters, Mrs. W. H. Richardson, Mrs. Eual Sauls, and Mrs. Raymond Bond, all of Bossier City, Mrs. Jewell Chance of Hornbeck; and four brothers, Dr. John McNeely of Baytown, Tex., Lester McNeely of Chicago, Ill., and Floyd McNeely, and Leman McNeely, both of Many.
