Mrs. Irean H. Maxie McNeal

  Funeral services for Mrs. Irean H. Maxie McNeal, 67, were held
at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 1, at Pilgrim Star Baptist Church.
Interment followed at Pilgrim Star Cemetery, under the direction
of Jenkins Funeral Home. Rev. D. A. Jones of Shreveport
officiated.

  Mrs. Irean died April 29, at Sabine Medical Center.

  She is survived by her husband, Rev. Richard McNeal of Florien;
one sister, Mrs. Arlean Maxie of Florien; six children, William
I. Maxie, Riece Maxie, Kenneth R. Maxie of Florien, Roy Maxie,
Louise McConnell of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Lou Jean Puckett of
Leesville, La.; 18 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a
host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and another host of
friends.

  Pallbearers were Martenus McConnell, Melvin Puckett, Jasper
Maxie, Johnnie Davis, Marlon Maxie, and Antonio Maxie.
