"Champ" McNeely, age 73, of Anacoco, were held April 16, 1996, at 2 p.m., in the Beauregard-Vernon Funeral Home chapel, with the Rev. Huey Haymon officiating. Burial followed at the Pisgah Cemetery in the Toro Community, under the direction of Beauregard-Vernon of Leesville. Mr. McNeely died Sunday, April 14, 1996, in Anacoco. He was a native of Hornbeck. He was a mechanic, and had worked for Palmer Motor, Sartor Motor, and Fort Polk, as a mechanic, until his retirement. He was a former member of the V.F.W. in Hornbeck. He served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by four sisters, Lillie Leland of Brandon, Miss., Mamie Lee LeBleu of Nederland, Tex., Ava Lawrence of Lumberton, Miss., and Frankie Martin of Vidor, Tex.
