He was born in Toro on June 28, 1935, to Ray and Mary Elizabeth McMillan. He had lived in Orange, Texas for the past 46 years, where he worked as a boilermaker for Local #587. He was a United States Air Force veteran, and served his country during the Korean Conflict. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Dec. 26, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, Texas. The Rev. David Berkheimer, pastor of Community Church, officiated. A graveside service and burial followed at 3 p.m., at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Florien, with the Rev. Jimmy Evans, pastor of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church officiating. Survivors include his son, Benny McMillan of Orange, Texas; two daughters, Brenda McMillan of Brazoria, Texas, and Peggy McMillan of Orange, Texas four sisters, Bobby Lynn Wood of Florien, Virginia Waldrup, Gelea Downs, and Linda Warren, all of Vidor, Texas; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren, who all referred to him as "Nuther Papa", and his faithful companion and friend, his dog, "Rocky".
