Messer, 62, of Shreveport, were held Sunday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m., in Little Flock Baptist Church in Many, with Rev. Don Roberts, pastor of Sunset Acres Baptist Church of Shreveport officiating. Burial was in Little Flock Cemetery, under direction of Wellman Funeral Home. A native of Sabine Parish, Mrs. Messer died Saturday at 2:25 p.m., in Confederate Memorial Medical Center, following a short illness. She had lived in Shreveport since 1967, and was a member of Sunset Acres Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; Percy H. Messer; her mother, Mrs. Mary E. Tate of Florien; three brothers, Elgin E. Messer of Negreet, Rodernick Messer of Pineland, Tx., and Harmon Messer of Morehead City, N. C., and two sisters, Mrs. Daisy L. Baker of DeRidder, and Mrs. Alma E. Hankins of Shreveport. Mrs. Messer's nephews will serve as pallbearers.
