McGary, 69, were held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 31, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Daniel Williams of Natchitoches, La. Burial was held in Forest Park West Cemetery. Mrs. McGary, a homemaker, died Wednesday, may 29, at Schumpert Medical Center. She was born in New York City, N.Y., and had been a resident of Shreveport most of her life. Mrs. McGary was preceded in death by two brothers, William, and Herbert Hamilton. Survivors include her husband, Allen E. McGary of Shreveport; three sons; and two daughters, Barbara Steinke of Many, La., Allen F. McGary Jr. of Mobile, Ala., Robert J. McGary of Shreveport, William C. McGary of Missouri City, Texas, and Carol Ann Vannoy of Greenough, Montana; one brother, James A. Hamilton of Mt. Vernon, Maine; 18 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were grandsons. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
