Mrs. Virginia McCartney

  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, in Broadmoor Presbyterian Church in
Shreveport, for Mrs. Virginia Dale McCartney, 49, who died Thursday afternoon after a short
illness.

  The Rev. Dan Goodwin, pastor of Broadmoor Presbyterian Church, officiated at the services.
Pallbearers were Dudley Lang, Robbie Lang, Roy Bush Bridges, Dwain Creed, Ronnie Edmonson,
and Bob Turnbull. Burial was in the Marthaville Cemetery in Marthavelle, under the
direction of  Osborn Funeral Home.

  Mrs. McCartney was the widow of the late Dr. Dwight McCartney, and sister-in-law of Mrs.
Bessie Lang of Many, and Mrs. R. J. Bridges of Pleasant Hill.
