McCormick 9 Sep 1938 - George W. McCormick, age 45, died at Highland sanitarium, Shreveport at 1:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, after a short illness. His wife and children, E. C., Willard and Lucile, were at his bedside when he passed away. The body was interred in Ebenezer cemetery Sunday, Sept. 4. The funeral services were held in the Ebenezer Baptist church with Rev. C. W. Williams, pastor of First Baptist church, Many and Rev. W. G. Bailey and Rev. J. B. Williams conducting the services. Mr. McCormick was the only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. McCormic born and reared near Many. He was a highly esteemed and well-known merchant of Many where he has been in business for several years. The Dennis-Green funeral home had charge of the funeral arrangements. Surviving Mr. McCormick are the widow, Mrs. Geo. W. McCormick; three children, E. C., Williard and Lucille; also three sisters, Mrs. Hoyt Horton and Mrs. Ike Bush of Many and Mrs. Leon Miller of Zwolle. Active pallbearers: Harvey Skinner, J. B.
