All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Hugh McCormic Funeral services for Hugh McCormick, 54, of Shreveport, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 16, at Wellman's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Forest Park West Cemetery. Mr. McCormick was dead on arrival at Doctor's Hospital, at 7 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14. The Caddo Parish coroner's office said cause of death had not been determined. An autopsy was conducted. Mr. McCormick was a small appliance repairman, and was a native of Zwolle. He was a Mason, a veteran of World War II, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Officiating in services will be the Rev. William Smith of Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Peggy McCormick; his mother, Mrs. H. E. O'Banion of Zwolle; his grandmother, Mrs. Annie Youngblood, also of Zwolle; four daughters, Peggy Sue Choate of Saline, Barbara Ann Tackett, and Janice Kay Culper, both of Shreveport, and Mary Glenda Driscole of Dallas, Tex.; two half-brothers, Scotty McCormick, and Jim Bob McCormick, both of Crossett, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. K. P. Rhoades of Dallas., Tex., and six grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jerry Hasty, Lyle Nelson, Dave Nichols, Robert Courtney, Doug Council, and Carl Musgrove.
