Monsignor Norman Buvens officiated. Burial was at Fender Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. McCormic died Friday, Oct. 16, at 2:45 p.m., at Willis Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport. Mr. McCormic was a resident of Many, and a truck driver of Nehi Bottling Company. He is preceded in death by two sons, Luke Fredrick McCormic, and Sammy James McCormic. Survivors are his wife, Thelma Jane McCormic of Many; one son, John Wayne McCormic and his wife Tina of Many; one daughter, Gloria Jane Alford and her husband Jerry of Many; four sisters, Marie Canton of Logansport, Cleta Anderson of Many, Merily Goss of Many, and Miss Betty Lites of Many; one brother, E. B. McCormic of Houston; five grandchildren, Sammy James McCormic Jr., Luke McCormic of Bickham, Timm Adam McCormic, and Lee Davis. Pallbearers were nephews.
