All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Thomas Mowad Thomas Mowad, a resident of Many since 1909, died at the age of 72, Sunday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 a.m., in Many, after a short illness. Mr. Mowad has been a merchant in Many for the last 45 years. He was the owner of T. Mowad's Grocery. A Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m., Sunday night, at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many. Funeral services for Mr. Mowad were conducted Monday, Jan. 23, in St. John Catholic Church of Many, with Father William Kwaaitaal officiating. Interment was in St. John Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home of Many. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary C. Mowad of Many; four sons, Joseph, and John Mowad, both of Many, and Noland, and Fred Mowad, both of Alexandria; two daughters, Mrs. Blanche Liberto, and Mrs. Rose Farace, both of Alexandria; one sister, Mrs. Nora Mowad of Syria; and eight grandchildren. Pallbearers were Marvin Adams, Bud Wright, John Mowad Sr., Lee Solice, Floyd Lopez, and Abdo Sliman.
