All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** The Sabine Index - Ellery Matthews 26 Jun 1936 - An argument between two Sabine parish youths ended in the fatal stabbing of Ellery Matthews, 17, at the Rock church near Pendleton’s Ferry at 8 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services were held from the Central church cemetery near Robeline at 4 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. J. M. Pate conducting the services. Surviving besides the parents are five brothers, Barney, Grady, J. C., Harrold and Hardy; three sisters, Mrs. Bill Carter and Ruth Lee and Viva Matthews all of Sabine parish.
