Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home with interment following at Little Hope Cemetery. Mr. Maddox was a native of Zwolle. He moved to Jasper from Many about five years ago. He worked for many years as a driller in the oilfield and still discussed and talked about those activities. Survivors include his widow, Josephine Maddox of Jasper, Texas; three sons. Jerry Maddox of Dayton, Texas, Dewayne Maddox and Benny Maddox, both of Hardin, Texas; two daughters, Gloria Monzingo and Phyllis Smith, both of Jasper, Texas; two brothers. Jack Maddox of Arkansas and Charles Maddox of Jasper, Texas; one sister, Vera Harton of Stonewall; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. Forest Oaks Funeral Home Jasper, Texas
