Allen Matthews

  Allen Matthews, 81, of Florien, died in Many on Saturday, Feb.
17, at 1:30 p.m., following an extended illness.

  Survivors include two brothers, Jessie Matthews of Florien, and
Luther Matthews of Jena; one sister, Mrs. Ida Weldon of Florien,
and numerous nieces and nephews.

  Funeral services were held on Monday, Feb. 19, at the Pine Grove
Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Officiating were Rev. Glen Flenniken,
and Rev. W. E. Poe. Burial was in the Middle Creek Cemetery,
under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
