Mr. Cleveland O. Matthews

  Funeral services were held on April 6, 1994, at 10 a.m., for Mr.
Cleveland O. Matthews, at Peason Pentecostal Church, with burial
following at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Rev. Richard Heard, Rev. M. C.
Green, and Rev. Ron Wilson officiated.

  Pallbearers were Nick Karabias, Tommy Blake, Robert Lewis, Don
Griffin, Autry Marr, Dimitri Karabias, Kelvin Matthews, and David
Sharp.

  Mr. Matthews died on April 3, 1994, in his residence in
Channelview, Tex. He is survived by his wife, Jerry B. Matthews
of Channelview, Tex.; his children, Ronald O. Matthews of North
Shore, Tex., Joey Matthews of North Shore, Tex., Robin Jean Free
of Phoenix, Ariz., Cindy Y. Sparks of North Shore, Tex., and
Keith Eric Matthews of Channelview, Tex.; mother, Gracie L.
Matthews of Florien; sisters, Dorothy McComic, Jean Sharp, and
Marilyn Marr, all of Florien, Linda Lewis of Houston, Tex.,
Shirley Manasco of Branson, Mo., and Brenda Wilson of Houston,
Tex.; brothers, W. M. Matthews of Leesville, Donald Matthews of
Baytown, Tex., Ralph Matthews of Florien, Charlie Matthews of
Houston, Tex., Terry Matthews of Shreveport, and Gary Matthews of
Florien; 9 grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
