Mary Melvina Matthews

  Funeral services for Mary Melvina Matthews, 86, of Robeline,
were held Monday, July 1, 1996, at Friendship Church of the
Nazarene, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Daniel Mappus, and Rev. Winston
Lowe officiating. Interment was at Friendship Church of the
Nazarene Cemetery.

  Mrs. Matthews passed away June 28, at the Sabine Medical Center.

  She is survived by her husband, James R. Matthews of Robeline;
two sons, Billy G. Matthews, and Harold Matthews, both of
Natchitoches; two daughters, Mary Larpenter of Robeline, Peggye
Rivers of Many; five sisters, Etna Arthur, Olevia Carline, Doris
Faust, Novis Lambert, all of Many, and Lizzie Bell Carline of
Robeline; two brothers, Younger Stewart of Robeline, and James M.
Stewart of Bethany, Okla.; 18 grandchildren; 25 great
grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
