Edith Dora Peddy Martin Mitchell

  Edith Dora Peddy Martin Mitchell passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 28,
1998 in the Alta Care Nursing Home, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

  Edith was born on April 28, 1912 in Newton County, Texas. She is
survived by one sister, Maudine Slay of Hornbeck; five daughters,
Polly Anthony of Salt Lake City, Utah; Jo Jo Groves of Azalea, Ore.,
Kitty Burford of Galveston, Texas; Mary Ann Oliveria of Kingwood,
Texas; and Louise Learue of Morley, Mo.; one son, Vick Martin of
Ridgefield, Wash.; 38 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; and
three great-great-grandchildren.

  Edith was preceded in death by three sons, Henry Allen Martin (Jack)
of Syracuse, Utah; Franklin Pierce Martin (Shorty) of Cortez Colo.;
and William Franklin Martin (Frank) of Fresno, Calif.

  There will be a graveside service at Pisgah Cemetery, in Toro
Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at which time Edith's ashes will be
buried next to her mother, Dora Frances Kelly Peddy and her sister,
LaVerne I. Mercer.
