Arvel Mitchell

  Arvel Mitchell, 59, of Many, died in Shreveport Tuesday, Nov. 4,
at 1:50 a.m., following an extended illness.

  Survivors include his widow, Beatrice Mitchell of Many; one son,
Donald Mitchell of Natchitoches; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Payne
of Greenville, S. C.; four brothers, Louis Mitchell, Arlie
Mitchell, Odie Mitchell, and Wilford Mitchell, all of Many; three
sisters, Mrs. Jennie Knippers of Hornbeck, Mrs. Mae Leggett, and
Mrs. Etta Brumley, both of Many; and five grandchildren.

  Funeral services were held at the Trinity Baptist Church
Thursday, Nov. 6, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Brent Fleming, and the Rev.
Clarence Burley officiated.

  Burial was in the Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of the
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.
