Mitchell, 68, of Fisher, died in Fraser Hospital North, Saturday, April 19, at 12:30 p.m., after an extended illness. Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Judith Sanders of Fisher, Mrs. Minnie Nolen of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Marie Lester of Many, Mrs. Pauline Willis of Gilmer, Tex., Mrs. Oda Mae Mills of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Mrs. Maxine McGuire of Grangeville, Idaho; five sons, Carrol, Garland, and Gene Mitchell, all of Fisher, Bobby Mitchell of Rayville, and Ray Mitchell of Florien; her mother, Mrs. Oda Adams of Orange, Tex.; six sisters, Bernice Prince, and Mattie McCord, both of Port Arthur, Tex., Edna Davell, and Hazel Gilcrease, both of Starks, Dorine Lefferts of San Jose, Calif., and Doris Herrington of Orange, Tex.; one brother, A. D. Adams. Jr. of Mauriceville, Tex.; and a host of grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, April 21, at 10 a.m., in the Fisher Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard Henderson officiating. Burial followed in the Fisher Cemetery.
