Mable Tynes Mitchell

  Funeral services were held for Mable Tynes Mitchell, Tuesday,
Sept. 15, at the Prewitt's Chapel Baptist Church, at 2 p.m., with
Rev. Glen Flenniken officiating. Interment was at the Prewitt's
Chapel Cemetery.

  Mrs. Mitchell of Hornbeck, died Monday, Sept. 14, at 8 a.m., in
Alexandria, following a short illness. She was 82.

  She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lois Yates of Anacoco,
Mrs. Delenith Monk of Houston, Mrs. Judy West of Houston, and
Mrs. Johnnie Spears of Natchitoches; five sons, Hoy Mitchell, and
Harvey Mitchell, both of Hornbeck, Henry Haywood Mitchell, and
Harold Mitchell, both of Anacoco, and Jerry Mitchell of Hornbeck;
17 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

  Mrs. Mitchell laid in state at the home of Mrs. Lois Yates,
before the funeral services were held.
