Jessie Thomas Mitchell

  Services for Mr. Jessie Thomas Mitchell, 71, of Bossier City,
were held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 3, at the Rose-Neath Funeral
Home Chapel in Coushatta, La. Dr. Jim Nunnelee, pastor of
Bellaire Baptist Church, where Mr. Mitchell was a member,
officiated. Burial, with full military honors, were held at Mt.
Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit, La.

  Mr. Mitchell died at 1:50 p.m., Wednesday, May 1, 1985, at V. A.
Medical Center in Shreveport, after a sudden illness. He was born
in Sabine Parish, La., had been a resident of Bossier City for 25
years, and was employed with the D. A. V.

  He is survived by his wife, Ruth Cumalee Mitchell of Bossier
City; one daughter, Linda Dale of Shreveport; one step daughter,
Mrs. Billy Ray Green of Many, La.; one step son, Don Carter of
Shreveport; five brothers; seven grandchildren; and six great
grandchildren.
