All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mr. James Edward Mitchell (Photo) Funeral services for Mr. James Edward Mitchell, 39, of Many, were held at 2 p.m., on April 24, 1995, at Trinity Baptist Church. The Rev. Milton Prey, and the Rev. Glen Flenniken officiated. Interment was in Ft. Jesup Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many. Mr. Mitchell passed away on April 22, at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport. Mr. Mitchell was born on Feb. 6, 1956, in Many, to Eleanor and Louis Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell was a graduate of Many High School, and received his 30 Plus Masters Degree in Education from Northwestern University in Natchitoches. He was also a teacher from 1978 to 1989, and Principal from 1990 to 1993 at Many Junior High School, employed with Nichols Department Store in Many for 23 years, and was a member, Deacon, and Youth Director at Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors are parents, Louis and Eleanor Mitchell of Many; two sisters, Jerry Barron of Mansfield, and Lecia Mitchell of Many; one brother, Bobby Mitchell of Haughton; nieces and nephews, Pam Craig, Kim Barron, Shelly Collins, Courtney Boatman, Kerry Mitchell, Tyler Craig, and Haley Collins; and a host of close friends. Pallbearers were Danny Townsend, Johnny Miller, Jimmy Durr, Cecil Thomas, Carl Allen, and Carl Leach.
