Herbert Medlock

  Funeral services for Herbert J. Medlock of Many, were conducted
at the Jerusalem Baptist Church on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 2:30
p.m.

  Burial was in the Jerusalem Cemetery.

  Medlock died on Jan. 4. He was born on Feb. 1, 1892, in Sabine
Parish, to the late Harriett and Henry Medlock.

  Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Mary Jefferson of San
Francisco; three sons, James Medlock, Sacramento, Calif.,
Alphonso Medlock, San Francisco, Henry Medlock, Houston, Tex.,
and two who preceded him in death, Mrs. Effie M. Allen, and Mrs.
Louis Lilly. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Mirdie
Martin, and Mrs. Alice McDonald, both of Many; a brother, Raymon
Garner of Omaha, Nebraska; 15 grandchildren, 23 great
grandchildren, a host of other relatives.

  Pallbearers were Lavoy McClanahan, T. J. Garner, B. T.
McFarland, Ottis McFarland, George Long, and Mitchell Williams.
