M. Middleton of Many, died Friday, Jan. 25, in his home, from a heart attack. He is survived by his widow, Martha; two sons, Joel Selby Jr. of Monroe, John Randolph of Aviano, Italy, a daughter, Ursula Marion of Alexandria, a step-mother, Mrs. Olive Middleton of Many; four sisters, Mrs. W. D. Truluck of Arcadie, Ruth Middleton, and Leela Middleton of Many, Mrs. J. T. Ginn of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, J. M, Middleton Jr. of Carthage. Tex., Charles Middleton of Baton Rouge, and five grandchildren. He was a member of the United methodist Church. He recently retired from the State Employment Service in Alexandria, after many years of service. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28, in the Kramer Funeral Home in Alexandria, with Father Rifinger officiating. Pallbearers were Mel Vidrine, Ike Hudson, Bennie Maygeaux, Fred Laird, Mancel Funk, and Jack Foto. Interment followed in the Many Cemetery, with the Rev. W. V. Sirman officiating. Pallbearers in the Many Cemetery were Bill Middleton, Bud Stanbury, Tommy Strain, Joel Middleton III, John Middleton Jr. and Bill Mount.
