Vera Moss Madden

  Services for Mrs. Vera Moss Madden, 66, of Simsboro, were held
at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 14, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home in
Ruston. The Rev. Glenn Marr officiated. Burial was in Simsboro
Cemetery.

  Mrs. Madden, a retired school teacher, died Thursday morning,
July 12, at her residence in Simsboro, following a lengthy
illness. She was a native of Bellwood.

  She is survived by her husband, Lamon Madden Sr. of Simsboro;
two sons, John W. Madden of Many, and Will Madden Jr. of
Simsboro; one brother, Raymond Moss of Shreveport; three sisters,
Rosa Ott, and Clara Murray of Bellwood, and Vida Ledbetter of
Simsboro; five grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
