Mr. Mothershed was a member of First Baptist Church in Florien, and was a logger. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 12, at First Baptist Church in Florien, with interment following at Florien Cemetery. The Rev. Bobby Franklin, and Dr. Lynn Hawkins officiated. Survivors include one daughter, Edith Hawkins and husband Dr. Lynn Hawkins of Ruston; one son, William Harold Mothershed and wife Ruth of Pascagoula, Miss.; four grandchildren, Curtis and wife Jennifer Hawkins, and Kevin Hawkins, both of Ruston, Hal and wife Jill Mothershed of Nashville, Tenn., and Kim and husband Buster Philley of Baton Rouge; five great grandchildren, Erin and Blake Philley, and Alwyn, Leah, and Neil Mothershed; a host of nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Bobbie Tarver. Mr. Mothershed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Allen Mothershed, and Mary Verena Mothershed, and his wife, Iberia Skinner Mothershed. Pallbearers were the members of the Many High School Football team, and their coach, David Feaster.
