Ponder Leon Mothershed

  Funeral services for Mr. Ponder Leon Mothershed, 63, were held
at 2 p.m., Friday, March 29, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, with
Rev. Larry Deloach officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Carmel
Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Mr. Mothershed died Wednesday, March 27, at Schumpert Medical
Center in Shreveport.

  He is survived by his wife, Berly "Jean" Mothershed of Florien;
one son, Steven Leon Mothershed of Ebarb; four daughters, Louise
Thaxton, Elizabeth Self, Juanita Miller, and Karen Lee, all of
Florien; mother, Ella Mae Mothershed of Florien; one sister,
Bonnie Germany of Shreveport; two brothers, Elson Mothershed of
Florien, and Earl Mothershed of Dallas, Tex.; twelve
grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
