All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Samuel Jefferson Miles Funeral services for Samuel Jefferson Miles, 70, of Pleasant Hill, was held Friday, Apr. 9, at 2 p.m., in the Spring Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Glen Flennigan of Robeline, and the Rev. J. C. Salley officiating. Interment was in the Spring Ridge Cemetery, under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Miles died Thursday, Apr. 8, in Mansfield, as the result of a car-pickup accident near Pleasant Hill. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emmie Miles of Pleasant Hill; three daughters, Mrs. Asbury Bozeman of West Lake, Mrs. Matt Temple, Jr., DeRidder, and Mrs. Robert Luck of Carlisle Barracks, Penn; one brother, Charles L. Miles, Grand Bend, Kansas; three sisters, Mrs. Claude McGaha, and Mrs. Willie Dorsey of Belmont, and Mrs. Basil Brown of Jacksonville, Fla.; and nine grandchildren. Graveside rites were by the Members of the Pleasant Hill Masonic Lodge. Pallbearers were Guffey Pattison, Wister Terrell, Francis Brown, Homer Cox, Floyd Terrell, and Harold Bozeman.
