Kate Hicks Mallett

  Kate Hicks Mallett, 77, of Marthaville, died Friday, August 5,
in Natchitoches Parish Hospital, after a long illness.

  The funeral was at 2 p.m., Sunday, in Beulah Methodist Church,
with the Rev. Floyd McCarty, and the Rev. Dr. Ira Campbell
officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery, under the
direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.

  Survivors include her husband, George H. Mallett Sr.; one son,
George H. Mallett Jr. of Natchitoches; two daughters, Emily Berry
of Natchitoches, and Patsy Partick of Bossier City; two sisters,
Alberta Nebhut of Memphis, Tenn., and Cordia Prothro of
Shreveport; one brother, L. W. Hicks of Allen; nine
grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
