Mauldin, 81, of Shreveport, were held Friday, Nov. 8, 1996, at 1 p.m., at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating was Rev. Lola Andrews, pastor of Unity Church. Interment was at Forest Park. Mr. Mauldin passed away at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, after a sudden illness. He was born in Pelican, and had resided in Shreveport since 1950. Mr. Mauldin was a retired truck mechanic for Mauldin Truck Service. He was a member of Unity Church, and past president of the Board of Directors several times. He was an active member of the Ark-La-Tex Antiques, and Classic Car Club, and owner of several antique cars. Mr. Mauldin was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, WWII, and a P-38 mechanic with the Army Air Corps in WWII. He was very proud of his experiences in the war, and could tell stories about it for hours. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bura and Ethyl Mauldin; two brothers, Elven and James Mauldin. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Mauldin of Shreveport; one son, Frank Mauldin and wife Marilyn of Salem, Ore.; one daughter, Deborah Roshto and husband Jerry of Beavercreek, Ohio; two granddaughters, Stacey and Jennifer Roshto of Beavercreek, Ohio; one sister, Lillian Gibson of Mansfield; four nieces, Barbara Durkee of Clearmont, Fla., Mary Smith of Orlando, Fla., Caroline Bossier of Converse, and Melinda Jones of Stanley; two nephews, Sidney Gibson of Las Vegas, Nev., and Lannie Mauldin of Dayton, Tenn.; 27 great, and great-great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were members of the Ark-La-Tex Antique, and Classic Car Club. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the members of the Ark-La-Tex Antique Car Club.
