Maloney 25 Aug 1933 - John H. Maloney, 76, died at his home in the Hope-Castle community, four miles east of Many, at one o'clock last Thursday afternoon after an extended illness. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. M. Pate, pastor of the Many Baptist church at ten o'clock Friday morning, interment in the Jerusalem cemetery. Deceased was born in Vernon parish, moved to Sabine in 1897, was married to Miss Annie Cooper of Converse. He is survived by the widow and two daughters, Mrs. Thad Hardin and Mrs. James Seaman, both of Many. Since his removal to Sabine parish Mr. Maloney spent the remainder of his life in the Hope Castle community, where he was a good neighbor, a progressive citizen, and a splendid farmer.
