Malmay, 75, of Zwolle died Wednesday May 17, 2000 in Many at the Sabine Medical Center. Mr. Malmay served in the United States Army and was also a WWII Veteran. During his service he earned several honors including the Asiatic Pacific Medal with one battle star, the Good Conduct Medal and medals for his marksmanship with the riffle. He also served on the Sabine Parish School Board and Board of Directors of Sabine State Bank, held memberships in the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Knights of Columbus, He is a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and past King of Tamale Fiesta. Also he was Grand Marshall of the Zwolle Christmas Parade. He enjoyed following the stock market. Mr. Malmay was also a retired logging contractor, real estate developer, co-founder of E.B.'s Tamale Co. in Zwolle, and owned and operated E.B.'s Liquor Store for 20 years. Services for Mr. E.B. Malmay were held Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment following at St. Joseph Cemetery. He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Emmit Malmay, son, Larry Joe Malmay, sister, Elaine Derrick, brother Jimmy Malmay. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Theresa Malmay of Zwolle; one daughter, Mrs. Ginger Box and husband, Bernie of Shreveport; mother, Mrs. Mary Malmay of Zwolle; two sisters, Mrs. Rita Domingue and husband Dallas of Groves, Texas and Mrs. LoreneSepulvado and husband Rupert of Shreveport; two brothers, Mr. Emmit Malmay Jr. and wife, Mary Ann, of Houston, Texas, Mr. Jerry Malmay and wife. Ginger, of Zwolle; four granddaughters, Mrs. Marsha Dingle of Houston, Texas, Bridget Malmay of Houston, Texas, Amber Malmay of Houston, Texas and Tracy Box of Shreveport; one grandson, Patrick Box of Shreveport; one great-grandson; Larry Dingle of Houston, Texas; one special nephew, Chris Ebarb and wife, Suzanne, of Zwolle; one special great nephew, Jordan Ebarb of Zwolle; one special great niece, Janna Ebarb of Zwolle, and a host of other nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Mike Sepulvado, Danny Dominque, Jimmy Malmay, Stanley Santos, Tim Leone and Kenneth Ebarb. Honorary pallbearers were Patrick Box, Bruce Malmay, Gary Lee, Jim Ebarb, Frank Ebarb, David Ebarb, Pat Ebarb and Greg Ebarb. Warren Meadows Many, La.
