"Jimmy" Malmay, 71, of Shreveport, were held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 13, at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. The Rev. Leger Tremblay, pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, officiated. Burial was at Centuries Memorial Park. Mr. Malmay died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1987, at his residence, after a sudden illness. He was born in Noble, La., and was a resident of Shreveport all of his life. Mr. Malmay was retired as a mechanic for Exxon Pipeline Co. He was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion Post No. 14. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ardee Otwell Malmay of Shreveport; one daughter, Shelby Jean Robertson and husband, Deloy of Shreveport; three sisters, Angeline Ebarb of Bossier City, Maggie Ely, and Helen Malmay of Shreveport; four brothers, Robert Malmay, and Virgil Malmay of Shreveport, Joseph C. Malmay of New Orleans, Thomas J. Malmay of Port Neches, Tex.; one grandson, Monty Cliff Self and wife Sherri of Shreveport; two great grandchildren, Joshua, and Zachary; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Pallbearers were nephews.
