Burial was in the Beulah Cemetery, with Bro. Kenneth Leach officiating. Services were under the direction of Warren Meadows Funeral Home. Mr. Melancon died Friday, January 28, 1983, at Rapides General Hospital in Alexandria, as the result of an automobile accident. He was 22. Surviving relatives are his mother, Eliza D. Melancon; his father, the late Lynn J. Melancon; and one brother, Richard J. Melancon of Many. Also he is survived by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Pallbearers were Ricky Knopp, Marty Knopp, Bob Brown, George H. Evans, Jerry Rogers, and Timmy King. Honorary pallbearers were O. L. Rogers, Kelvin Clark, Ross Oliner, and J. H. Oliner.
