All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** Mrs. Ruth Miller Mrs. Mae Ruth Miller, 67, a long time resident of Many, died July 30, in the Fairfield Hospital in Shreveport, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Miller was a retired school teacher and a member of the first Baptist Church of Many for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Miller were held in the Osborn Funeral Home with the Rev. Perry Lassiter, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Many, and the Rev. W. T. Furr, pastor of the Queensborough Baptist Church of Shreveport, officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Surviving relatives include her husband, James Louey Miller; a daughter, Mrs. W. L. Watts of Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. Coy Gore of Asheboro, N. C., Annie Laurie West of Deville, Mrs. J. E. Gay, and Mrs. Charles E. Swift, both of Ruston; a brother, George L. West of San Diego, Calif.; and two grandsons. Pallbearers were John E. Gay, Charles E. Swift, Richard I. Swift, Norman Curtis, Curtis Campbell, James W. Salter, Delos Miller, and Bruce Gay. Honory Pallbearers were Dr. S. F. Frasier, Dr. W. A. McBride, Dr. Joe Holoubeck, and Dr. Melvin Johnson.
