Bertha May Gandy Miller

  Services for Bertha May Gandy Miller, 89, of Mooringsport were held
at the Mooringsport First Baptist Church on Saturday, Jan 17, at 3 p.m,
with the Rev. Harold McClendon officiating.

  Burial was at the Mooringsport Cemetery under the direction of
McGuire Funeral Home of Vivian.

  She died at the Highland Hospital in Shreveport following a long
illness.

  Mrs. Gandy, who was born in Gandy La., was a resident of Mooringsport
for 62 years. She was a housewife, a member of the Order of the Eastern
Star, Lakeside Chapter, where she was past worthy matron, and a member
of the D.A R., Frances Rebecca Harrison Chapter.

  Survivors include her husband, John Marshall Miller, Morringsport;
one brother F. E. Gandy, Shreveport; and two nieces.
