The Sabine Index - Ben F. Miller

  1 Nov 1973 - Ben F. Miller, 89, of Florien died on Thursday,
Oct. 25, at 12 p.m. after an extended illness.

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Hattie Miller of Florien;
two sons, B. F. Miller, Jr., of Florien, and James Miller of
Groves, Tex.; four daughters, Mrs. Lovie Bush, Mrs. Dollie
Peterson, Mrs. Georgia Davis, all of Florien, and Mrs. Doris
Wright of Negreet; one brother, Clark Miller of Houston; one
sister, Mrs. Pearl Williams of Florien; 18 grandchildren and
26 great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services were conducted at the Ebenezer Baptist
Church on Friday, Oct. 26 at 4 p.m.  The Rev. V. L. Pruitt
and the Rev. Mack Brister officiated.  Burial was in the
Ebenezer Cemetery under the direction of the Warren Meadows
Funeral Home.  Pallbearers were Ben D. Peterson, Robert D.
Geoghagen, Dennis Wright, Donald Bush, Henry L. Davis, and
J. A. Miller.
