Haywood Miller, age 19, were held at Siloam Baptist church 11 a.m. Wednesday of last week by Revs. Charles S. Miers, W. M. Ross, W. M. Greer, Cleburne W. Quaid and W. V. Niell. Interment following under direction Massingill funeral home. Surviving relatives include: parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Miller, Many; sisters, Mrs. Jerry Autrey, Morgan City, Mrs. Lee Sibley, Boulder, Colo.; brother Chester Miller, Dallas, Texas; three nieces and three nephews. Pfc. Miller entered the marines in 1943, trained in San Diego, Calif., served in the Pacific, N. Caledonia, Guam and Marshall, awarded purple heart and expert rifleman's badge. He was killed in action on Guam in 1944.
