Miller James Louey Miller, 75, of Shreveport, died Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 10 p.m., in his home, after a sudden illness. A native of Sabine Parish, he had lived in Shreveport for three years. He had worked for the Lousisiana Department of Revenue for 25 years, until his retirement in 1969. Before going to work for the revenue department, he was a Sabine Parish deputy sheriff. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 14, in the Osborn Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Perry Lassiter, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Many, officiated. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. William L. Watts; five sisters, Mrs. Curtis Campbell of Shreveport, Mrs. Norman Curtis of Many, Mrs. Robert Baibneaux of Metarie, Mrs. James W. Salter of Florien, and Mrs. Irvin Cook of Fisher; and two brothers, Lud R. Miller, and Delos Miller, both of Florien, and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were John E. Gay, Charles E. Swift, Curtis Cambpell, Norman Curtis, Robert Slaybaugh, and Hoyt Curtis.
