The Sabine Index - Asa Miller

  1 Aug 1947 - Last rites for Asa Miller, age 80 who died at his
home at Florien after three years illness, were held at Antioch
Baptist church near Florien 10 a.m. Sunday. Rev. V. K. Fletcher,
assisted by Rev. R. L. Green conducting the services. Interment
was under direction Massingill funeral home.

  Pallbearers were: J. D. Salter, Howard Anthony, Luther
Funderburk, Lawrence Hopkins, C. R. Anthony and Roy Jordan.

  Mr. Miller is survived by his widow, Mrs. Asa Miller, Florien;
son, Troy Miller, Florien; daughters, Mrs. Robert Easley of South
Carolina, Mrs. John Wright and Mrs. Heyward Williams, both of
Florien, Mrs. Van Lee, Leesville; brothers, Jeff and Buck Miller,
Florien, and seven grandchildren.
