The Sabine Index - Rev. Vercie R. Miller

  5 Dec 1968 - The Rev. Vercie R. Miller, 64, of Many passed
away Wednesday, Nov. 27, in a local hospital following an
extended illness. He was a retired Baptist minister after 42
years of service.

  Funeral services were held in the Zion Hill Baptist Church
Thursday, Nov. 28, with the Rev. Oliver Prothro and the Rev.
Lloyd Owens officiating.

  He is survived by his widow; two sons, Julius Miller of
Ragley and Robert C. Miller of Mansfield; two brothers, Pierson
Miller of Many and Elmer Miller of Anacoco, two sisters, Mrs.
Winner Arnold of Crowville and Mrs. Maudie Funderburk of Florien;
and one grandson.

  Interment was in the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of
Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Pallbearers were his nephews and honorary pallbearers
were Baptist ministers of Beauregard and Sabine Parish.
