The Sabine Index - James Willie Miller

  8 Aug 1952 - Funeral rites for James Willie Miller, 80, who
passed away at his home near Florien after an extended illness
Tuesday, were conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday at Antioch Baptist
church by Rev. L. B. Ritchie, assisted by Rev. Guy Lewis and Coda
Salter. Interment was under direction Warren Funeral home with
Masonic rites at the graveside.

  Pallbearers were Melvin Wright, Melton Wright, Vernice Wright,
Lewis Cook, Kile Salter and Will Watts.

  Surviving relatives include: the widow, Mrs. Laura
Miller, Florien: sons, J. L. Miller, Many, L. R. Miller, Pacific
Calif., Delos F. Miller, Florien: daughters, Mrs. I. E. Cook, Mrs
J. W. Salter, both of Florien, Mrs Ernest Babineaux, Lake
Charles, Mrs. Curtis Campbell, Shreveport, Mrs Norman Curtis,
Many: brother, Ivy D. Miller, Florien: sisters Mrs. Montie
Paramour, Mansfield, Mrs. Cora Self, Smackover, Ark.; 12
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
