  2 Jan 1953 - Funeral services for Jesse H. Miller, 67, who
died at home near Florien Dec. 29, were held at Mt. Carmel church
at 10 a.m. Jan. 1 by Rev. Guy Lewis

  Surviving relatives include wife, Mrs. Maggie Miller of
Florien; sons, Ray of Richmond, Calif., Clyde of New Orleans,
Carl of Houston, Texas; daughters, Mrs. Verna Jones of Plainview,
Mrs. Elsie Miller of Florien, Mrs. Jewell Dumas of Jennings;
brothers, Ivy of Shreveport, John of Mooringsport, Leroy of
Natchitoches, Roscoe of Alexandria; sister Mrs. Rilla Leach of
Vivian, Mrs. Exa Simmons of Natchitoches; 17 grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren.
