Miller Sr. Alford Deboy Miller Sr., 62, of Greensboro, N. C., died Friday, Dec. 28, at Moses Cone Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Graveside services were held Dec. 31, at West Minister Gardens in Greensboro, with the Rev. Ivan Stephens, and Bishop Ungate officiating. Mr. Miller was a native of Fort Jesup. He was a retired electric motor mechanic. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Miller served in World War II, with the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a Mormon. Survivors include his widow, Vera Brown Miller of Greensboro; one daughter, Carol Alala of Greensboro, N. C.; one son, Al Miller Jr. of Summerfield, N. C.; three sisters, Mrs. Lois Rivers of Sulphur, La., Miss Iva Miller, and Miss Unis Miller, both of Many; one brother, W. E. Miller of Shreveport; and six grandchildren.
