Funeral services were held at Little Flock Baptist church Saturday at 4 p.m., with Rev. Bailey in charge. Burial was in Little Flock Cemetery under the direction of Dennis-Green funeral home. Mrs. Miller was before her marriage Miss Elva Simpson, graduate nurse. Surviving are her husband; one son, Duglas Foster of Goose Creek, Texas; one step-son, C. A. Miller, Jr., in the navy submarine corps; three sisters Miss Maxie Simpson of Deridder, Mrs. Mary Meeks of New Orleans and Mrs. Drew Malloy of New Orleans; one brother, Alfred Simpson, New Orleans. Pallbearers were six of her friends from the neighborhood around her home. Mrs Miller will be greatly missed in the community in which she lived. She always gave of her best to those who were sick or in trouble. Her love for music was an inspiration in many of the singing conventions she attended. Her friends appreciating her love for music, came from many parts of the parish to sing at her funeral as a tribute to her memory.
