Miller Veteran Sabinian, Succumbed Late Thursday Afternoon. Many was a grieved city last Thursday evening when the sword reached here that death claimed Geo. Miller, age 72, at his Florien home at five o'clock that afternoon. The remains of this pioneer citizen of Sabine Parish were interred at Mt. Carmel Friday afternoon at one o'clock, the last rites being conducted by the Rev. J. M. Pate, paster of The Many Baptist Church in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends with the grave being decorated with an unusually large array of floral offerings of love and esteem to the deceased. George Miller is survived by his widow and a large number of children and grandchildren, among the number being Leroy S. Miller, principal of the Many high school.
